Tentative Date for ALICE Training

TPD Sgt Ryan Meier is currently working with ALICE Training Institute (ATI) http://www.alicetraining.com and the Bethel Baptist Church in an attempt to bring the ATI to conduct a 2 day active shooter response course.  Once you complete the course you will be certified through ATI to train ALICE in your area.  This course is open for law enforcement and civilians.  If you are interested in this course, please contact Sgt Meier directly at rmeier@troypolice.us.  Please help us pass this to every law enforcement agency, church, school, business, hospital and our entire community.  
 
The tentative course date is October 2nd and Oct 3rd at the Bethel Baptist Church in Troy.

2018 Leadership Series of the Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois Education Committee

The Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois Education Committee is excited to announce the 2018 Leadership Series. The series is a great way for individuals to enhance their maximum potential through professional development.
The 2018 Leadership Series is open to anyone who wants to learn from experienced professionals and will be held at Southern Illinois Builders Association in O’Fallon, Ill., from 8-11 a.m. on the following dates:
•    July 19 – Cyber Security (Cyber Security Breach: Prevention, Repair and Recovery)
•    August 16 – Innovative Budgeting in Changing Times (Financial Vision and Best Practices)
•    September 20 – Strategic Planning (Competitive Intelligence, Strategic Visioning, Leading Change and Competitive Positioning Strategies)
The sessions cost $375 for all 6 sessions or $75 per session. Limited space is available, but companies may send multiple people to one or more sessions. Incumbent Worker Training

Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) can help qualifying companies upgrade the skills of existing employees that will ultimately help the company remain competitive, increase profits, and support the growth of the company.  Based on the size of the company, up to 90% of the costs of training can be reimbursed through the program.

Registered Apprenticeship benefits employers by providing them with a pipeline of skilled workers with industry-specific training and hands-on experience.  Registered Apprenticeship programs are customizable to match the employer's need and highly flexible in order to always meet the employer's changing requirements.
