Ameren Illinois Increases Incentives

Is your facility looking to reduce energy and maintenance costs? The Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program has increased specific cash incentives to help offset an even larger portion of the costs of your next electric project!

Custom Electric incentive increased to $0.10 per kilowatt hour (Lighting and Non-Lighting). New Construction Lighting increased to new interior tiers of $0.14, $0.12, $0.10 with exterior at $0.12 per kilowatt hour. Waste Water Treatment Plants increased to $0.21 kilowatt hours. Feasibility Study incentive cap increased to up to 50 of energy savings . Municipal Owned Street Lighting increased to $0.70 per watt reduced for both Standard and Premium. These increased incentives are only available for a limited time, so start planning your next energy-saving project now. That is why we wanted to announce that Life Line Screening will be performing a day of preventive health screenings at American Legion Post 708 on Saturday, June 23, 2018. This collaboration helps bring important health tests to our community at an affordable price. The tests look for signs of disease that can lead to stroke, heart attack or bone fracture. Life Line Screening scans for potential health problems for both men and women. The cost for a Wellness Package is $149.00. You must pre-register. Memorial Day Service at Veteran's Memorial

Veterans Memorial on Memorial Day. Memorial service will be starting at 1:00 p.m. followed by an Open House at the Troy American Legion Post 708 Hall for food, drink, and fellowship.

The Troy American Legion Post 708 is hosting a Memorial Day service on May 28th at the Veterans Memorial in the Tri-Township Park. The memorial service will start at 1:00 p.m. Eric Maurer, commander of Troy American Legion Post 708, will give the opening welcome. The Troy VFW Post 976 will provide the color guard and the Troy Community Band will provide music. Following the service, everyone is welcome to an Open House at the Troy American Legion Post 708 Hall for food, drinks, and fellowship.

5K Run For Your Life

The Anderson Hospital Relay Team has coordinated a 5K Run for Your Life to take place during the event! The 5K Run/Walk begins at 6 p.m. on June 30th with same day registration beginning at 4 p.m. The relay team is currently looking for runners and sponsors to support the 5K and their Relay Team fundraising efforts! Runners will pay a $30 registration fee and receive a swag bag and shirt (shirts guaranteed if registered by June 12). Sponsors can participate at the $100 level by providing info/items in the runners swag bags or at the $200 level with swag bag inserts and logo on race shirts! Access to Fishing Program

Maryville Community Library will have rods and reels, provided by Illinois Department of Natural Resources, available to borrow much like checking out a book or movie. Tackle packets (that contain hooks, sinkers, bobbers, etc.) and instructional fishing literature of fishing is available. Available at no cost for users to keep when they borrow a fishing pole. Come in and check one out!

Summer Science Camp

If you love science, experiments, and making discoveries about the world around you, or simply want to know more about how the world works, then our science camp is for you! This summer we will be exploring five areas of science using hands-on STEAM techniques along with the scientific method. Science Camp will be hosted by Mrs. Jennifer Doyle. Mrs. Doyle has a degree in biology from McKendree University and is a certified science teacher. She has six years of teaching experience in subjects ranging from Conceptual Chemistry to PreAP Biology. This camp is open to anyone entering 3rd-6th grade. Invite your friends and family!
