Ameren Illinois Increases Incentives

Feasibility Study incentive cap increased to up to 50 of energy savings . Municipal Owned Street Lighting increased to $0.70 per watt reduced for both Standard and Premium. Beware of Credit Card Skimmers

All, I just want to remind everyone to be aware of credit card skimmers. They have been found in the area. Also, please send ideas and suggestions for the next presentation you are looking for. The Crime Awareness Program is for you. I hope you all take advantage of it. In 2017 we provided training on Credit Card Skimmers, Fraudulent US Currency, Fraudulent Illinois Driver's License, Mock Bank Robbery Training, and ALICE Training. Access to Fishing Program

Maryville Community Library will have rods and reels, provided by Illinois Department of Natural Resources, available to borrow much like checking out a book or movie. Tackle packets (that contain hooks, sinkers, bobbers, etc.) and instructional fishing literature of fishing is available. Available at no cost for users to keep when they borrow a fishing pole. Come in and check one out!

Savvy Caregiver Training Session

St. John's Community Care will offer Savvy Caregiver Training several times through 2018 using a curriculum developed by the University of Minnesota. For more information or to register call 618-344-5008.

Are you a caregiver for a family member who has Alzheimer's disease or another related disorder? Does that person live at home? Are you looking for ways to increase your knowledge and confidence in this role? The series of 6 classes will be held Tuesday evenings from 6 - 8 pm on April 17 24 - May 1,8,15,22 at Fairview Heights Community Room, 10025 Bunkum Road, Fairview Heights, IL 62208. Each series is limited to a maximum of 12 families. There is no cost to those attending. Registration is required. Summer Science Camp

If you love science, experiments, and making discoveries about the world around you, or simply want to know more about how the world works, then our science camp is for you! This summer we will be exploring five areas of science using hands-on STEAM techniques along with the scientific method. Science Camp will be hosted by Mrs. Jennifer Doyle. Mrs. Doyle has a degree in biology from McKendree University and is a certified science teacher. She has six years of teaching experience in subjects ranging from Conceptual Chemistry to PreAP Biology. This camp is open to anyone entering 3rd-6th grade. Invite your friends and family! Anderson Auxiliary Scholarships

The Auxiliary of Anderson Hospital in Maryville is offering $1,000 scholarships to students who are enrolled in a hospital-related health care field. Students must be residents of the State of Illinois and must attend an accredited school. (Doesn't have to be Illinois institution). Winners will be announced in July, 2018. The scholarship application packets also include applications for the Anderson Hospital Physicians $1,000 scholarship (due May 15) and for the IHHA $1,000 scholarship (due April 15). Applications are available through the financial aid and counseling departments of local academic institutions. They can be found at the Anderson Hospital main lobby desk, Volunteer Office, and the Switchboard. Online applications can be found on the hospital s website.
